Unused Maps are maps which have not been implemented into the game. This could be due to various reasons such as the maps being tests, early concepts, or just becoming obsolete due to a change in developer vision. The following are documentations of these maps. All of these were found on the 3.0.0 build of the game.

The MacMillan Estate[]

Mini[]

Mini is a tiny map within the MacMillian Estate. It features one exit gate, a potential hill, and filler tiles. It lacks the main building, most walls, and maze tiles. This map is likely a test map, repurposed for the tutorial, or scrapped extremely early in development.

Seb's Dream[]

Seb's Dream is another tiny map from the Macmillian Estate. It is one of the most bare-boned maps, not featuring any defining features, asides from one exit gate. This map is likely another test map or it was repurposed for the tutorial.

Storehouse 3[]

Storehouse 3 is a variation of the current Groaning Storehouse. The main building is still in the centre of the map, but the locations around it have been altered, notably shack has moved to a corner of the map.

Sawmill[]

Sawmill was one of 3 unused maps found in the game's Beta build. It contained no tiles and was unplayable without hacking the game. Sawmill also used the original Coldwind Farm skybox, due to the map being entirely unfinished

It was removed from the game's files entirely in Patch 1.1.0.

Crotus Prenn Asylum[]

Carnival[]

Carnival is the only, and a rather sizeable semicircle-shaped map from the Crotus Prenn Asylum. There are no maze tiles and several missing tiles scattered around the map, some of which likely being the main building which is absent. The map is largely empty space with the exception of a few hills and the shack. This may have been an early version of Father Campbell's Chapel.

Haddonfield[]

Facility[]

Facility is a medium sized rectangular map inside Haddonfield. The map has one random house, the killer shack, and a heavily basic main building. Interestingly, the map has sliding doors which open when a generator nearby is complete, similar to the ones from The Game. The main building is inaccessible until one of these generators are completed. Overall the map is extremely barren with many missing tiles present throughout.

Backwater Swamp[]

Dead Lake[]

Dead Lake is a rectangular map in the Backwater Swamp. It appears to be an early/alternate version of the Grim Pantry, containing the same main building. However the rest of the map is different, containing tiles that are not present/in a different location than the familiar map.

Grim Gully[]

Aka "village", perhaps the most famous unused map. Grim Gully is a smaller map which features the Bloodwillow tree and a early-on wooden village. The terrain in the map is very unique as there is elevation shifts all over the map, something never largely seen outside the edges of the current swamp maps. The map may have been scrapped due to conflict with Wraith's current lore and the lore of the map, though there is no concrete evidence to back this theory up.

Yamaoka Estate[]

Shack[]

Shack is a unique map inside the Yamaoka Estate. The map's layout is a fat ring, with the centre of the map being walled off and out of bounds. The map contains no main building, but does have the shack, several shrines throughout, and everything else to make a complete map. The map is overall polished and suitable for being released, why this map was never released is unknown.

Shack B[]

Shack B is a much more generic medium square-shaped map. It contains no main building, but has the Yamaoka shrines, a hill, and a large amount of maze tiles. Like the former Shack, this one is also polished well and in a release state.

Shack C[]

Shack C is very similar to Shack B. The only real differences are the amount of maze tiles being less, and the borders being slightly different.

Ormond Resort[]

Shack[]

This map is a medium sized "U" shaped map featuring no main building, but a regular Firewatch tower. The tower is located in the centre of the map on a hill, it doesn't spawn all of the time. Like the Yamaoka maps, this map is also fully ready for release, but never shipped out with the chapter for unknown reasons.
