Oblivious is a Status Effect featured in Dead by DaylightIconHelp DBDlogoIconHelp DBDlogoIconHelp DBDlogo that is applied exclusively to SurvivorsIconHelpLoading survivorIconHelpLoading survivorIconHelpLoading survivor.

It was originally introduced in Patch 3.2.0 alongside the release of CHAPTER 13: Stranger Things, with The DemogorgonIconHelpLoading demogorgonIconHelpLoading demogorgonIconHelpLoading demogorgon and The NightmareIconHelpLoading nightmareIconHelpLoading nightmareIconHelpLoading nightmare having been the first Killers to use it.


Mechanic[]

The Oblivious Status Effect is a debuffing effect that can applied to any Survivor as soon as its activation conditions are triggered.

Survivors suffering from Oblivious are unable to perceive the Killer's Terror RadiusIconHelp terrorRadiusIconHelp terrorRadiusIconHelp terrorRadius and also do not hear the Heartbeat warning of the Killer's proximity.

Survivors suffering from Oblivious do not suffer from any effects that rely on Survivors being inside the Terror Radius to be applied.

During a Chase, Survivors are still able to hear the Chase Music.

Whenever you hook a Survivor, Alien Instinct activates:

Deathbound Deathbound Those whose lives are intertwined in darkness are destined to suffer together.

Whenever a Survivor finishes healing another Survivor for the equivalent of 1 Health StateIconStatusEffects healingIconStatusEffects healingIconStatusEffects healing, Deathbound activates:

  • Causes the Healer to scream and reveal their location.
  • Causes the Healer to suffer from the ObliviousIconStatusEffects obliviousIconStatusEffects obliviousIconStatusEffects oblivious Status Effect whenever they are farther than 16/12/8 metres from the other Survivor.
Deathbound deactivates after the Healer loses a Health State.
Hex: Plaything Hex: Plaything A Hex that toys with a victim's suffering.

If there is at least one Dull TotemIconHelpLoading totemIconHelpLoading totemIconHelpLoading totem remaining in the Trial Grounds, Hex: Plaything activates on a random Totem each time a Survivor is hooked for the first time:

  • The hooked Survivor suffers from the CursedIconStatusEffects cursedIconStatusEffects cursedIconStatusEffects cursed and ObliviousIconStatusEffects obliviousIconStatusEffects obliviousIconStatusEffects oblivious Status Effects until Hex: Plaything is cleansed.
  • For the first 90 seconds, only the Cursed Survivor is able to cleanse the Hex Totem.
  • The AuraIconHelp aurasIconHelp aurasIconHelp auras of Hex: Plaything's Hex Totem is revealed to the Cursed Survivor within 24/20/16 metres.

Weave Attunement Weave Attunement You are so attuned to magical energies that you can sense even minor ripples around enchantments.

Whenever an ItemIconHelp itemsIconHelp itemsIconHelp items is depleted for the first time, it is automatically dropped:

  • The AurasIconHelp aurasIconHelp aurasIconHelp auras of dropped Survivor Items are revealed to you, as well as the Auras of any Survivors within 8 metres of them.
    • Affected Survivors see the Aura of that Item as well.
  • Causes Survivors picking up a Survivor Item to suffer from the ObliviousIconStatusEffects oblivious Status Effect for 20/25/30 seconds.
