Endurance is a Status Effect featured in Dead by DaylightIconHelp DBDlogoIconHelp DBDlogoIconHelp DBDlogo that can be applied to both the KillerIconHelpLoading killerIconHelpLoading killerIconHelpLoading killer and SurvivorsIconHelpLoading survivorIconHelpLoading survivorIconHelpLoading survivor.


Mechanic[]

The Endurance Status Effect is a buffing effect applied by various Unlockables, some Powers and Props, and the Twisted Skills.

Survivors[]

Survivors benefitting from Endurance can resist damage from the Killer that would otherwise put them into the Dying State.
Instead, they will remain in the Injured State and suffer from the Deep WoundIconStatusEffects deepWoundIconStatusEffects deepWoundIconStatusEffects deepWound Status Effect.
Survivors who are already suffering from Deep Wound cannot be protected by Endurance.

If a protected Survivor is hit or otherwise damaged, their Character model is briefly outlined in white, which is intended as a visual cue to the Killer that the Survivor was protected at that moment.

A Survivor's Endurance is cancelled prematurely if the they perform any Conspicuous Action.

Killers[]

Killers can only benefit from Endurance when using the Twisted Skills Special Ability, which is only available during the Twisted Masquerade Anniversary Event in June and July.

When affected by it, they can endure being stunned by Survivors, effectively negating the Stun completely by greatly reducing its duration.

Styptic Agent A white powder with coagulant properties.
Apply the agent to a wound to stop it from haemorrhaging.
  • Press the Secondary Action button while healing yourself or another Survivor with a Med-Kit to use the Styptic Agent to grant the EnduranceIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivorIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivorIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivor Status Effect for 5 seconds.

Styptic Agent consumes the Med-Kit on use.

Perks[]

Borrowed Time Borrowed Time You are fuelled with an unexpected energy when saving an ally from a Hook.

The Survivors you unhook benefit from the following effects:

  • Extends the duration of their EnduranceIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivorIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivorIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivor Status Effect by 6/8/10 seconds.
  • Extends the duration of their HasteIconStatusEffects hasteIconStatusEffects hasteIconStatusEffects haste Status Effect by 10 seconds.

Dead Hard Dead Hard You can take a beating.

After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Dead Hard activates whenever you are injured and running, and allows you to tap into your adrenaline bank to avoid taking further damage:

  • Press the Active Ability button to trigger the EnduranceIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivor Status Effect for 0.5 seconds.
Dead Hard deactivates after use.

Dead Hard causes the ExhaustedIconStatusEffects exhaustedIconStatusEffects exhaustedIconStatusEffects exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
Dead Hard cannot be used when Exhausted.

Whenever you are in the Injured StateIconHelp injuredIconHelp injuredIconHelp injured, Made for This activates and you benefit from the following effects:

  • Grants the EnduranceIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivorIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivorIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivor Status Effect for 6/8/10 seconds, after completing a Healing action on another Survivor.
  • Grants a 1/2/3 % HasteIconStatusEffects hasteIconStatusEffects hasteIconStatusEffects haste Status Effect while running and also suffering from the Deep WoundIconStatusEffects deepWoundIconStatusEffects deepWoundIconStatusEffects deepWound Status Effect.

Off the Record Off the Record You have learnt that a quiet approach is sometimes best.

After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Off the Record activates for the next 60/70/80 seconds:

  • Prevents your AuraIconHelp aurasIconHelp aurasIconHelp auras from being revealed to the KillerIconHelpLoading killerIconHelpLoading killerIconHelpLoading killer, if they attempt to read it.
  • Suppresses Grunts of Pain when injured.
  • Grants the EnduranceIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivorIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivorIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivor Status Effect.

Off the Record deactivates once the Exit GatesIconHelp exitGatesIconHelp exitGatesIconHelp exitGates are powered.

Soul Guard Soul Guard You have been through immense hardship and you're stronger for it.

After being healed from or having recovered from the Dying StateIconHelp dyingIconHelp dyingIconHelp dying, you benefit from the following effect:

While suffering from the CursedIconStatusEffects cursedIconStatusEffects cursedIconStatusEffects cursed Status Effect, you benefit from the following effects:
  • Grants the ability to fully recover yourself from the Dying State.
Soul Guard has a cool-down of 30 seconds.

Your few friends deserve the best protection.

You benefit from the following effect when healing a dying Survivor:

  • Increases your Healing speed by +150 %.
Any dying Survivor you heal back to the Injured State benefits from the following effect:
  • Grants the EnduranceIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivorIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivorIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivor Status Effect for 6/8/10 seconds.
    • This effect can only be triggered once every 30 seconds.

  • Survivor Nerf: all instances of Endurance are now deactivated prematurely if the Survivor performs Conspicuous Actions.

  • Killer Buff: increased the Stun Duration reduction when using the associated Twisted Skill from -75 % to -100 %, causing it to completely negate any Stuns.
