Change Log
Patch 1.3.0
- Rework: Small Game now works in a similar way to Premonition, giving an auditory warning instead of revealing Auras.
- Buff: increased the range to 8/10/12 metres and added the ability to detect Totems and Phantasm Traps.
- Nerf: added a cool-down of 15/12/10 seconds.
Patch 3.1.0
- QoL: with the rework to The Nightmare's power, added the ability to detect Dream Pallets when inside the Dream World.
- However, this does not extend to Dream Snares.
Patch 4.7.0
- Rework: reworked Small Game to be focused purely on tracking Totems and keeping track of their cleansed numbers.
- QoL: Small Game no longer triggers on the Totem the Player is in the process of cleansing.
- QoL: Small Game now narrows the cone with each cleansed Totem to increase tracking accuracy.
- Change: updated Small Game's icon.
Audio Cue
Whenever a Totem is detected within Small Game's Detection cone, this sound cue will play:
Trivia
- Small Game triggers its audio cue on all types of Totems, including Dull, Hex, Boon, and Rekindled Totems.
- Small Game's Token-counter cannot exceed 5 Tokens.
- However, its secondary effect will continue to stack, eventually reducing the Detection Cone's radius to 0 °, which renders the Perk unusable from that point onward.
- The audio cue that plays whenever a Dull, Hex, or Rekindled Totem is cleansed also plays when other Survivors performed the Cleansing action.
History
- The first iteration of Small Game was only useful in games against The Trapper, as its only effect was to reveal the Aura of his Bear Traps.
- Upon release, this meant there was a 1 in 3 chance (Trapper, Wraith, or Hillbilly) of the Perk being useful in a Trial, which later worsened to just 1 in 5 (Trapper, Wraith, Hillbilly, Nurse, or Shape), before Small Game was reworked in Patch 1.3.0.
- Small Game's icon, until Patch 4.7.0, referenced its original effect with its icon displaying a pair of legs stepping over an armed Bear Trap.
