Scorching Summer BBQ is a recurring Summer Event in Dead by Daylight
, celebrating the warmest season of the year in the Realm of The Entity.
Scorching Summer BBQ 2023 is only the second iteration of the Event after a hiatus of five years and is taking place between 3 August and 17 August 2023.

Gameplay Mechanics[]
During the Scorched Summer BBQ, all Trials spawn Event-themed Hooks and Generators, the Grill Hook and the Frozen Cocktail Machine.

Event Tome[]
The Scorching Summer BBQ features a special Event Tome:
Like regular Tomes
, the Event Tome is made up of a mix of Survivor and Killer Challenges.
Additionally, some of the Tome's nodes in the Auris Web unlock a Cosmetic Piece as a Reward for participating in the Event Tome.
The Event Tome features 2 Tome Levels, each with two separate paths through the Auris Web.
However, the Event Tome is exclusive to the event, and none of the challenges or rewards will be completable after the event concludes.
