Change Log

Patch 1.5.0

  • Nerf: removed the flat attack cool-down reductions of 14/18/20 % for missed attacks and 25/29/33 % for successful attacks.
    • Replaced those with an attack cool-down reduction of 30/35/40 % for successful attacks only that is triggers after chasing a Survivor for 20 consecutive seconds.

Patch 2.1.0

  • Mechanics Change: now Token-based, each Token grants a stackable 5 % decreased cool-down on successful attacks.
    • Tokens are gained for each successful hit that is not dealt to the Obsession.
    • You can earn up to 8 Tokens or a total cool-down reduction of 40 %.
    • 4/3/2 Tokens are lost for attacking the Obsession with Basic Attacks.

Trivia

  • The reduction is applied based on amount of Tokens after hitting a Survivor, instead from before.
    • For instance, hitting a Survivor and gaining 1 Token will already grant 5 % reduction to Basic Attack cool-down.
  • Save the Best for Last does not include the approximately 0.33(3) seconds of swing wind-up time.
  • Attacking with a Killer's Special Attack will neither gain nor lose Tokens for Save the Best for Last.

  • Prior to CHAPTER II: The HALLOWEEN® Chapter becoming available on all platforms, those that did not yet have its contents yet would still have the Characters' Perks available as regular general Perks, including Save the Best for Last, whose icons featured a generic Survivor head instead of Laurie Strode.
This also applied to Sole Survivor IconPerks soleSurvivor.png.
