Oppression is a Unique Perk belonging to The Twins.
Prestige The Twins to Prestige 1, 2, 3 respectively to unlock Tier I, Tier II, Tier III of Oppression for all other Characters.

Description

Life has been difficult for you, so you will make it difficult for others.

Performing the Damage Generator action on a Generator activates Oppression:

Causes up to 3 additional Generators to also start regressing.
Triggers a difficult Skill Check for all Survivors currently repairing an affected Generator.

Oppression has a cool-down of 60/50/40 seconds.

Change Log[]

Patch 7.5.0[]

Change: only the kicked Generator will experience a Regression event, the three random Generators will not.
- This change is due to the addition of a limit to how often individual Generators can experience a Regression event, which would otherwise unfairly penalise the use of this Perk.

Patch 8.1.0[]

Buff: halved the Cool-down durations from 120/100/80 seconds to 60/50/40 seconds.

Trivia[]

Oppression ignores the effect of the Instructions Add-on, which eliminates Skill Checks while repairing with a Toolbox.
In accordance with Oppression's description stating that only the Damage Generator action applies its effect, its effect is not applied when Generators are put into the Regression state by any other means.
- It is a common misconception amongst Players that Oppression can be activated by other Perks, such as Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance.
- Another common misconception is that Oppression transfers effects of other Perks, which are also activated through the Damage Generator action, to the three additional Generators it itself affects.
  It does not do so.
