Lightburn is a Game Mechanic in Template:IconLink.
It allows Survivors to use a Template:IconLink to burn The Template:IconLink and The Template:IconLink by shining the Flashlight on their body, effectively forcing them to momentarily stop using their ability and stun them. These stuns are affected by the perk Enduring. These stuns are uncorrelated to actual blinds, but since the Killer's eyes are a part of their body, you can both burn and blind a Killer simultaneously.
These burns are also unaffected by any Add-ons which increase the power of flashlightItems. The only thing that is affected by flashlightItem strength other than blinding is The Hag's traps.
Wraith
Shining a Flashlight for about 2 seconds upon a cloaked Wraith, will burn him, causing him to be stunned for 3 seconds and forcing him to uncloak.
He screams when being burnt, just as if he was stunned by a Template:IconLink.
The Wraith can counter this by hiding behind an object when uncloaking or using the Template:IconLink Add-on Series.
Nurse
The Nurse will be stunned for 2 seconds if a Flashlight is shined on her whilst she is charging her blink or has a blink fully charged and is holding it. It takes about 2 seconds to burn her and thus stun her. This stun is not her post-blink fatigue, as she cannot move at all, and does not share the vignette that covers the screen during post-blink fatigue. She cannot be burned while she is in mid-blink, or in the blink fatigue. She can be stunned if she is holding a blink in the chain-blink window, but without Add-ons, the window generally isn't long enough to get a burn.
Although not strictly a stun, the Nurse cannot start a blink whilst a flashlight is being shone on her.
Trivia
- It is suspected that only both The Template:IconLink and The Template:IconLink suffer from this unique Game Mechanic, as they are both able to access what is called the "Spirit World" using their respective Power.
- The other Killers cannot access the Spirit World and likely thus do not suffer from this Mechanic.
