Lightburn

Lightburn is a Game Mechanic in Template:IconLink.

Overview

Lightburn allows Survivors to use a Template:IconLink to burn and stun Killers that are interacting with the Spirit World, namely The Template:IconLink and The Template:IconLink.

This is achieved by shining the Flashlight anywhere on their body, effectively stunning and thus forcing them to momentarily stop using their ability. These stuns are affected by the Perk Template:IconLink. The stuns are independent from blinding the Killer, it is thus possible to simultaneously burn and blind a Killer.

Wraith

A burn will always force him to fully uncloak himself and screams just as if he was stunned by a Template:IconLink.

Shining a Flashlight for ~2 seconds upon the cloaked Wraith will stun him in place for ~3 seconds. From The Wraith's POV, the same animation as the Nurse's fatigue will play during the stun. From the Survivor's POV, he will sway around a bit, almost as if drunk.

The Wraith can counter Lightburn by hiding behind an object when uncloaking. Prior to Patch 2.2.0, using the Template:IconLink Add-on Series would increase his resistance against Lightburn.

Nurse

Shining a Flashlight for ~2 seconds upon The Nurse will stun her in place for ~2 seconds. A slightly faster fatigue animation will play, albeit without the tunnel vision VFX.

Although not strictly a stun, The Nurse also cannot start a Blink whilst a Flashlight is being shone upon her.

Trivia

• Other Killers cannot interact with the Spirit World and thus do not suffer from the Lightburn mechanic.
