Like in business, you profit most when those around you suffer most.

Whenever you hook a Survivor, Leverage is granted +1 Token, up to a maximum of 10 Tokens, and applies the following effect for 30 seconds:

  • Reduces the Healing speed of all Survivors by a stack-able 3/4/5 % per Token, up to a maximum of 30/40/50 %.
The best way to raise profit is to cut expenditures. Cut everything.

Patch 8.3.0[]

  • Rework: removed the Token system and changed the Perk to trigger its effect at full strength on whichever Survivor performs an Unhook action.
    • Buff: now applies its effect at maximum strength at all times.
      • This is equivalent to having accumulated 10 Tokens before the Rework.
    • Nerf: only applies to whichever Survivor performed the Unhook action instead of all Survivors.
  • Change: updated the flavour and lore texts.


Trivia[]

  • Contrary to what the Patch Notes for the 6.6.0 release claim, Leverage always applied its penalty to both Personal and Altruistic Healing speeds, not just the latter, just as it did during the Public Test Build.
    • According to Community Moderator Mandy, there were no immediate plans to change that behaviour (see Gallery), which was confirmed with a mention in the Notes for Patch 6.6.2.
    • Since the Rework in Patch 8.3.0 did not change that behaviour, it is fair to assume that this effect is fully intended by now.
