The trauma caused by your brutal attacks makes crying for help painfully difficult.
Putting a Survivor into the Dying State with your Basic Attack blocks their Aura from being revealed to any Survivor, who is farther than Several Metres away from them. For the next 15 seconds, the following effects apply to the dying Survivor:

Trivia
- Knock Out used to be trumped by various Perks that allow Survivors to see their injured peers, but this was changed with Knock Out's changes in Patch 4.1.0.
In the Dark
- In the Dark was an earlier version of Knock Out, and is still the name of it in the Game files.
- Instead of the current effect, it would have increasingly reduced the Killer's Terror Radius
