The Armoured Titan originates from the anime/manga series Attack on Titan.
Overview[]
Reiner Braun, or The Armoured Titan, is one of the main characters of Attack on Titan.
Reiner was born and raised in the large nation of Marley, where he was oppressed and persecuted for being a Eldian, an ethnic group capable of turning into mindless, monstrous beings known as "Titans." He later joined the military's Warriors unit with other Eldians, and inherited the Armoured Titan. Reiner was tasked alongside three other Warriors with infiltrating the island of Paradis, where the majority of Eldians resided. After breaking into one of the walls protecting the island, they disguised themselves as survivors of the attack and joined the Eldians' military, hoping to seek out information about the "Founding Titan".
The mission would fail. Two Warriors were killed and the other captured. Reiner was left the only Warrior who successfully escaped, but was left mentally broken by these events, watching his friends from both sides of the battle brutally murdered.
His past would come back to haunt him years later, and he eventually resolves to stop the threat of the end of humanity outside of the wall.
