Iridescent King A glass-like king chess piece moulded from The Fog itself.
The Entity's trace reverberating within can break the most powerful minds.

Survivors with Madness IconStatusEffects madness.png suffer from all available Afflictions: Calm, Discipline, Order, and Restraint.

  • Survivors intermittently (10-15 seconds active; 30-45 seconds inactive) hear a distant Illusionary Terror Radius.
  • During a Chase, Survivors perceive an Illusionary Red Stain and Terror Radius as though The Doctor were directly behind them.
    • This effect persists for 6 seconds after the Chase ends in Madness II and is constantly active in Madness III.
  • Broken Pallets IconHelp pullDown.png have a chance to become replaced with Illusionary Pallets that persist until approached.
    • Every 20 seconds, a new Illusionary Pallet is generated at the location of a random Broken Pallet.
  • Increases the Illusionary Doctor duration by +8 seconds.

The Doctor shares in his patients' Madness in order to see the various Afflictions, including the Auras IconHelp auras.png of Illusionary Pallets and Doctors.

"Gazing into the iridescent glass is plunging one's self into madness."

Version 1.6.2[]

Icon Description
FulliconAddon iridescentKing.png A glass-like king chess piece moulded from The Fog itself. The Entity's trace reverberating within can break the most powerful minds.

Every time a Survivor receives a Shock Therapy Attack, they suffer from a random Affliction:

  • Iridescent Calm: Survivors hear a constant distant Heartbeat.
  • Iridescent Discipline: When a Chase begins, Survivors in Madness II perceive the Red Stain and Terror Radius as though The Doctor were right behind them for a duration of 10 seconds.
    • This effect is constant for Survivors in Madness III.
  • Iridescent Obedience: In Madness III, Survivors suffer from the Exhausted Status Effect.
  • Iridescent Order: Broken Pallets may appear to be replaced with Illusionary Pallets that persist until approached.
  • Iridescent Restraint: Tremendously increased duration for an Illusionary Doctor.

Afflictions of the same type do not stack.

Change Log[]

Patch 1.6.2[]

Rework: added a new Iridescent Class of the other Carter's Spark Add-ons, all with their own unique effect that is similar, if not equal to the Carter's Notes Class.

Patch 3.5.0[]

Rework: reworked the Iridescent Obedience effect. Buff: now guarantees the application of all 5 afflictions within 5 Power attacks.

Iridescent Afflictions[]

Trivia[]

  • Whereas Iridescent Afflictions do not stack with afflictions of other Add-ons, they do stack between themselves.
    • This means that if you shock a Survivor often enough, they will eventually simultaneously suffer from all Iridescent Afflictions.
