Change Log[]

Patch 8.0.0[]

  • Buff: halved the duration of the Invocation process from 120 seconds to 60 seconds.
  • Buff: drastically reduced the Regression rate of an incomplete Invocation process upon interruption from -20 c/s to -1 c/s.

Calculations[]

By default, an Invocation requires 60 Charges to complete and has a default Action speed of +1 c/s.

The table below shows how long the Invocation will take to complete assuming various combinations of Survivors with and without Invocation Perks participating, but does not cover all possible combinations in the scenarios listed, as that would create an overly complicated table:

Bonus Percentage Action Speed Completion Time Possible Scenario
-50 % +0.5 c/s 120 seconds
  • 1 other Survivor without an Invocation Perk
    • This is a possible edge-case scenario in which the original Survivor started the Invocation "together" with another Survivor, but then immediately left the circle, leaving the other Survivor to continue the Invocation alone.

Trivia[]

  • Invocation: Weaving Spiders will not apply its effect to Generators that are currently blocked by The Entity and thus not lower their Repair requirement.
    • This is opposite to the PTB version of the Perk, since blocked Generators can still receive bonus Progression, which that version of the Perk applied instead of lowering the Repair requirement.
  • Invocation: Weaving Spiders can stack its effect with Brand New PartIconAddon brandNewPartIconAddon brandNewPartIconAddon brandNewPart.
  • The Survivor who originally started the Invocation process is not required to continue participating in it, or even finish it, if another Survivor takes their place.
    • As long as there is at least one Survivor performing the Invocation at all times, others Survivors can freely join and leave.

Completion Penalty[]

  • Regardless of the behaviour described above, the penalty for completing the process is always applied to the Survivor who originally started the process, and only to them.

Injured State[]

  • Invocation: Weaving Spiders has a strange behaviour, compared to other Health-State-affecting Perks, in that it puts the original Survivor into the Injured StateIconHelp injuredIconHelp injuredIconHelp injured from any other Health State.
    • Usually, it is assumed that the original Survivor would be healthy at the time of receiving the penalty, thus becoming injured.
    • However, should the original Survivor be downed for any reason at the time of completion (requires that a different Survivor completes the Invocation), they would actually be healed back to injured.
    • This makes this Perk unique, in that it can both heal and damage its owner, depending on the activation circumstances.

Status HUD[]

T survivorActivity Invocation
  • While performing an Invocation, any participating Survivor will have a unique icon displayed in the Survivor Activity HUD, informing other Survivors about the on-going Invocation.

The icon also displays the current Progression of the Invocation.

Early Version[]

  • The Brazilian and French translations of the Perk on the Public Test Build revealed an early version of the Perk that had the following effects:
    • Survivors would suffer from Exposed rather than Broken.
    • Instead of granting all Generators a given amount of Charges, completing the Invocation would permanently boost the Repair speed of all Survivors by that percentage.
