Change Log
Patch 1.0.5
- Buff: decreased the Stealth delay timer to 4/3/2 seconds.
Patch 3.4.0
- Updated Insidious with the Template:IconLink Status Effect.
Audio Cue
As soon as a stealthy Killer starts to move again, thus cancelling Insidious, a loud sound cue titled "Stinger" plays to warn Survivors:
Trivia
- Since the introduction of The Template:IconLink, the Template:IconLink gradually fades away instead of being instantly gone after Insidious becomes active.
- The Killer still makes breathing noises while under the effect of Insidious, which is a way for attentive Survivors to still notice their presence.
- Before Insidious was updated with the Template:IconLink Status Effect, the description mentioning stealth confused many Players and led to beliefs such as the Killer turning invisible, rather than just masking their Terror Radius and Stain.
- Some languages even mistranslated the stealth to mean invisibility, further increasing the confusion.
- Using a Killer's Power will automatically cancel Insidious.
- However, moving your camera around, stalking Survivors as The Template:IconLink or The Template:IconLink or phase-walking as The Template:IconLink will not cancel Insidious.
- Insidious does not affect Hums or Lullabies.
