Trivia

• Since The Template:IconLink was introduced into the Game, the Heartbeat now gradually falls away instead of being instantly gone after Insidious becomes active.
  • This improves it's usability as Survivors who knew about the Perk would instantly know that the Killer was using it with the instant lack of a Heartbeat.
  • However, it also diminishes its effectiveness against Template:Unlockable.
• Insidious hides the Stain, the red cone of light the Killers emit that the Survivors are normally able to see.
• Insidious does not hide the Killer's Character model in any way. The stealth part about the description comes from the fact of Survivors having a hard time locating the Killer without the Terror Radius.
  • This part is badly translated into many languages, sometimes even claiming that the Killer will turn invisible, which is a source of great confusion.
• Insidious is not cancelled by moving your mouse around and thus turning the Character model.
• When Insidious is active, the Killer's vision is obscured by "Black Fog", that lasts until you move out of stealth.
  • The Template:IconLink also gets when cloaked and The Template:IconLink when she crouches.
  • This "Black Fog" fades out over about 1.5-2 seconds after cancelling Insidious.
  • The Terror Radius probably turns back on over these 1.5-2 seconds in the same way that The Wraith's does while de-cloaking.
• The Killers still make breathing noises while under the effects of Insidious, which is a way for an attentive Survivor to notice their presence.
• Using their Power will automatically cancel Insidious.
• Insidious won't work on The Template:IconLink, as her Humming is independent of her Terror Radius. Removing the Terror Radius will not stop her humming, on the contrary, it will actually get louder and receive an echo effect.
  • The same is true for The Template:IconLink, his Lullaby too is independent of his Terror Radius.
