When used with the Bear Trap, the Honing Stone sharpens its blades. The razor-sharp blades inflict deep wounds aimed at bleeding the victim as fast as possible.

Triggers Dying State.
Affects every Bear Trap.

Patch 1.1.2

Honing Stone now only has a 50 % chance to inflict Dying State.
- This change was due to the newly added Template:IconLink taking the place of Honing Stone.

Trivia

The change to Honing Stone in Patch 1.1.2, was mainly due to balancing reasons, with the "just" Very Rare Honing Stone being found too common and used too often in trials.
- This led to the creation of the Diamond Stone.
