m (That's not what the Perk description says, something you'd probably realise, were your English any better. And for fuck's sake, the Trivia section already mentions that there's a fucking timer. You're now arguing for the sake of it. I'm done with you.)

Change Log

Patch 1.7.2

  • Nerf: added a Basic Attacks condition.

Patch 4.1.0

  • Rework: instead of the Item losing charges when dropped, The Entity will consume it, if the Item is left on the ground for too long.
  • Rework: now reveals the Aura of a dropped Item to the Killer in close proximity.

Patch 5.0.0

  • Rework: changed the Perk to once again cause the Item to lose its Charges when dropped.
    • This change is in effect, despite the in-game description not having been updated from the 4.1.0 version.

Trivia

  • Franklin's Demise is a reference to Franklin Hardesty, a Character in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise.
  • According to its filename, Franklin's Demise was originally to be called "Franklin's Loss".
  • Franklin's Demise will show a debuff indicator on the Survivor's HUD with a timer on it.
With the Rework in Patch 5.0.0, this timer now corresponds to how many Charges the Item will have left after picking it up again (assuming it was initially dropped with full Charges).
  • While the in-game description has had the Basic Attack condition removed since Patch 4.1.0, it is still in effect and Special Attacks do not cause Survivors to drop their Items.
