HUNK is a Legendary Outfit available to The Legion from CHAPTER 10: Darkness Among Us.

HUNK originates from the video game franchise Resident Evil, specifically Resident Evil 2.

Overview[]

HUNK is the code name of a mercenary working for the Umbrella Corporation.

Next to nothing is known about the agent, although he is extremely reputable. HUNK is known to have successfully carried out multiple missions, and always coming out as the only survivor, earning him the nickname of the Grim Reaper.

In September 1998, HUNK was assigned commander of Alpha Team and led the assault on Umbrella's NEST laboratory to apprehend William Birkin and steal samples of his G-virus. Although Birkin was seemingly killed by another member in self-defence, the team managed to take the G-virus alongside a T-virus sample before leaving. However, a still-alive Birkin, who injected himself with the G-virus, confronted the team. Now a hulking monstrosity, Birkin kills the team except for HUNK and consumes the other G-viruses. The vial holding the T-virus breaks and is consumed by rats, who bring them into the sewer system and spread into the water supply, making HUNK indirectly responsible for the Raccoon City Outbreak.

A little over a week after the ordeal, HUNK, still alive and with a virus sample, arranges for extraction outside of the Raccoon City Police Station. Fighting his way out of the sewers, HUNK realizes that the front door of the station is blocked, and later encourages his pilot to leave without him. Much to his surprise though, the pilot returns after HUNK manages to find an alternative route out, who simply states that he "wanted to meet the Grim Reaper."

HUNK has become a legend by 2003, and is reported to be the developer of a fighting style designed to combat bioweapons that is still in use decades later.

Change Log[]

Patch 6.6.0[]

  • Quality of Life: added a new animation when HUNK uses Feral Frenzy, allowing Survivors to identify when he is actually using his Power.

Trivia[]

  • Despite not having unique voice lines, the default male voice on Legion is slightly muffled to match the gas mask of HUNK.
  • HUNK shares his Lobby Theme with The Mastermind and William Birkin.
  • Unlike The Baba Yaga who only features a unique lobby idle animation, HUNK also features a unique in-game animation when pursuing Survivors and using his Power.
  • HUNK shares the same knife as the "S.T.A.R.S." Outfit for the Mastermind, with his being cleaner and less bloody.
  • The in-game name of HUNK's knife is named "Grim Reaper". This is his actual nickname in-universe, and is also referenced in its description.
