- On the original Developer Website, Empathy featured a different flavour text:
"Just stay there. I'll come for you!"
Original Tier III Range
- Originally, Empathy and some other Perks had a stated unlimited range for their Aura-reading abilities on Tier III, according to their in-game descriptions.
- In the code, this was actually just a ridiculously large number, specifically 9,999,999 centimetres (nearly 100 kilometres or 62 miles).
- This large number caused some performance issues with the Game and was thus ultimately reduced to a more sensible 128 metres across all those Perks in Patch 2.6.0.
- This new range is still large enough to cover almost any possible distance between two points on Dead by Daylight's Maps, thus still making Tier III effectively unlimited.
