Overview[]
Eren Yeager is the main protagonist of Attack on Titan.
Once an innocent boy living on the island of Paradis, Eren Yeager's life would forever be changed when his home, Shiganshina District, was destroyed, and his mother eaten by a monstrous Titan before his eyes. After this event, Eren swore revenge on the monsters that took his idyllic life away from him and decided to join the military along with his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman and best friend Armin Arlert. Though he was noted to not be excellent at one particular thing, his determination was strong enough to allow him to graduate in the top 5 of his class.
During his first battle with the Cadet Corps, Eren would have been killed were it not for the fact that he himself could shapeshift into a Titan. The Survey Corps, a regiment dedicated to exploring the world beyond the island's walls, took notice of this and lobbied for Eren's recruitment, solidfying him as one of their most important members.
