Climbing was an unused mechanic in Dead by Daylight
. It was removed during the prototype days of the game.

It is unknown what Climbing specifically allowed Survivors to do. It is speculated that Survivors would have been able to climb walls with the addition of this mechanic. The hole on the Killer Shack's roof resembles this discontinued mechanic.
The removal of climbing was mentioned on Developer Stream #72, the reasons for the removal being balancing and incorporating issues.
