Bloodpoints (BP) are one of 7 in-game currencies featured in Template:IconLink.


Overview

Bloodpoints are a Player's Character Progression Currency. They are used to upgrade the Characters by purchasing Unlockables from the Template:IconLink.

Most in-game actions trigger Score Events that are converted into Bloodpoints at the end of a Trial. Certain Template:IconLink, Template:IconLink and Events may modify the amount of Bloodpoints one gains per Trial.

Bloodpoints are capped at 1,000,000.


Obtaining Bloodpoints

Bloodpoints can be obtained either during the Trials by performing certain actions or from the Template:IconLink by purchasing a Template:IconLink that was already unlocked.

Bloodpoints are added to a Player's profile and can be used to progress any Character's Bloodweb.

During a Trial, Bloodpoints are earned in 4 different Categories, that differ between Template:IconLink and Template:IconLink.

Survivor Categories

  • Template:IconLink - Repairing Template:IconLink and working towards the escape.
  • Template:IconLink - Staying alive.
  • Template:IconLink - Helping other Survivors.
  • Template:IconLink - For interactions with the Killer and their objects.

Killer Categories

  • Template:IconLink - Hurting Survivors and destroying Objects.
  • Template:IconLink - Awarded for clever use of their Power.
  • Template:IconLink - Finding, chasing and catching Survivors.
  • Template:IconLink - Hooking, Killing, and Sacrificing Survivors for the pleasure of The Template:IconLink.

Hatch Escape - 2000 - Obtained when escaping through the Template:IconLink.
Hatch Open - 2000 - Obtained when opening the Template:IconLink with a Template:IconLink or a Template:IconLink.
Lunar Generator - 4500 - Obtained when any Survivor has repaired a Lunar Generator, limited to the Howling Grounds Event.
Macabre Search - 100 - Obtained when a Survivor interacts with a Template:IconLink.
Cocktail Party - 4500 - Obtained when any Survivor has repaired a Frozen Cocktail Machine, limited to Survivors who have played a Template:IconLink Offering and also limited to the Scorching Summer BBQ Event.
Nectar Harvested - 4000 - Obtained when any Survivor has harvested a Visceral Canker, limited to Survivors who have played a Template:IconLink Offering and also limited to the The Hallowed Blight Event.
Vessel Unhook - 1000 - Obtained upon unhooking a Lunar Vessel, limited to Survivors who have played a Template:IconLink Offering and also limited to the Moonrise Event.
Vessel Held - 500 - Obtained on a regular basis while carrying a Lunar Vessel, limited to Survivors who have played a Template:IconLink Offering and also limited to the Moonrise Event.
Escaped With Vessel - 5000 - Obtained after escaping the Trial with a Lunar Vessel, limited to Survivors who have played a Template:IconLink Offering and also limited to the Moonrise Event.
Release - 1500 - Obtained when opening an Template:IconLink during the Endgame Collapse Phase.
Tenacious - 500 - Obtained after repairing a Template:IconLink when the Template:IconLink is open.

Killer Grasp Escape - 500 - Obtained after wiggling your way out of the Killer's grasp.
Killer Stun - 500 - Obtained after stunning a Killer using Head On.
Struggle 1 - 8,000 (Cap) Obtained during the Struggle Phase, which marks the the second Hook Stage. Points received will increase the longer the player struggled on the Hook before being sacrificed.

As it is directly tied to how long the Struggle Phase lasts, it is impossible to obtain much more than ~900 BPs.

Self-Healing 1 - 300 Obtained after healing oneself with a Template:IconLink or Template:IconLink.
Survived - 5000 - Obtained after having escaped through the Template:IconLink or the Template:IconLink or if the Killer left the game.
Trap Escape - 500 - Obtained after freeing oneself from a Template:IconLink.
Hook Escape - 1500 - Obtained after freeing oneself from a Template:IconLink.
Distraction - 150 - Obtained after igniting a Template:IconLink or a Template:IconLink.
Wake up! - 100 - Obtained after waking yourself up from the Dream World.
Snapped Out Of It - 200 - Obtained after snapping yourself out it, reducing Template:IconLink III to Madness II.
Trap Escape - 400 - Obtained after freeing oneself from a Reverse Bear Trap.
Purify - 100 - Obtained after cleansing oneself from Infection at a Template:IconLink.
Pressure - 250 - Obtained if you are the last Survivor alive upon triggering the Endgame Collapse.
Outlast - 250 - Obtained after outlasting being Marked by The Template:IconLink.
Fully Mended - 100 - Obtained after fully mending yourself from the Template:IconLink Status Effect.
Obsession Escaped - 1500 - Obtained after escaping a Trial as the Killer's Template:IconLink.
Obsession Dead - 1000 - Obtained after dying as the Killer's Template:IconLink.
Wiggle 1 - 8000 (Cap) Obtained from progress towards wiggling when being carried by the Killer.
Abandoned - 600 - Obtained when another Survivor disconnects from the Trial.

315 BPs are only obtained after the Template:IconLink have become powered.

Good Skill Check - 50 - Obtained after performing an action involving an Altruism Skill Check, such as healing. BPs for Template:IconLink Skill Checks will also count towards Altruism, despite Self-Care BPs counting towards Survival.
This is obtained after hitting the non-critical zone.

Hook Rescue - 1000 - Obtained after freeing another Survivor from the Template:IconLink.
Reunited - 200 - Received when meeting other Survivors for the first time in the trial.
Protection - 200 - Obtained when taking a hit from the Killer within 10 metres of an injured Survivor or when the Killer is carrying another Survivor. Can be triggered once every 3 seconds.
Wake up! - 150 - Obtained when waking up another Survivor.
Safe Hook Rescue - 500 - Obtained 10 seconds after unhooking a Survivor, if the unhooked Survivor has not been put in the dying state.
Late Heal - 750 - Obtained when healing another Survivor one Template:IconLink during the Endgame Collapse Phase.
Late Rescue - 2000 - Obtained when rescuing another Survivor during the Endgame Collapse Phase.

Dull Totems award 1000 each. Hex Totems award 1500 each.

Good Skill Check - 50 - Obtained after performing an action involving a Sabotage Template:IconLink, such as sabotaging a Hook.
This is obtained after hitting the non-critical zone.
Great Skill Check - 150 - Obtained after performing an action involving a Sabotage Template:IconLink, such as sabotaging a Hook.

Catch - 600 - Obtained after interrupting a Survivor mid-animation by grabbing them.
Hit - 300 - Obtained after hitting a Survivor.

Quitter Bonus 625 - 2500 Obtained post-trial after a Survivor has disconnected from the Game.
In order to get the maximum amount, all 4 Survivors have to disconnect.
Corrupt Purge Damage - 300 - Obtained after hitting a Survivor with Corrupt Purge as The Template:IconLink.
Sickness Damage - 300 - Obtained after a Survivor infected with Vile Purge gets afflicted with the Template:IconLink Status Effect.
Marked Stab - 500 - Obtained after hitting an Exposed Survivor as The Template:IconLink.

Chainsaw Run - 100 - Obtained after fully revving Bubba's Chainsaw and breaking into a Chainsaw Sweep while chasing a Survivor as the Template:IconLink.
Chainsaw Hit - 850 - Obtained after hitting a Survivor with the Chainsaw as The Template:IconLink or The Template:IconLink.
Precise Blink - 150 - Obtained by blinking very close to a Survivor as The Template:IconLink.
Lethal Blink - 250 - Obtained by landing a post-blink hit on a Survivor as The Template:IconLink.
Blink Grab - 200 - Obtained by grabbing a survivor while blinking as The Template:IconLink.
Evil Within - 500 - Obtained with each Tier-increase of Evil Within as The Template:IconLink.

Drops to 150 points when Deviousness is almost full.
Attack Bonus - 250 - Obtained when landing a hit on a Survivor shortly after they were hit with a Shock Therapy attack as The Template:IconLink.
Tranquillised - 300 / 150 - Obtained when a Survivor gets hit with a Static Blast attack as The Template:IconLink.
Drops to 150 points when Deviousness is almost full.
Precise Shot - 500 - Obtained when landing a hit on a Survivor by throwing Hatchet as The Template:IconLink.
Charged Shot - 300 - Obtained when landing a hit on a Survivor by throwing fully-charged Hatchet as The Template:IconLink.
No One Escaped - 2500 - Achieved by getting 4 kills in a Trial, letting no Survivor escape.
Dream Demon - 25 - Obtained after a Survivor gets into the Dream World.
Dream Chaser - 200 - Obtained when The Template:IconLink hits a survivor who is in the Dream World.
Set Dream Snare - 25 - Obtained when The Template:IconLink sets a Dream Snare.

This Score Event is unusual as it features a both a set amount of Points (150 when directly infecting Survivors) and a variable amount when Survivors get further infected with Vile Purge (2 points per 0.1 seconds).

Devotion - 100 - Obtained after ingesting Corruption at a Template:IconLink as The Template:IconLink.
Purge - 200 - Obtained after putting a fully infected Survivor into the Template:IconLink as The Template:IconLink.
Corrupted - 300 - Obtained after injuring a Survivor with Corrupt Purge as The Template:IconLink.
Hidden Stalker 1 - 8,000 (Cap) Obtained after stalking a Survivor while leaning from a cover as The Template:IconLink.

Spending

Points can be used to unlock Nodes from a Character's Bloodweb, containing Unlockables. As points are not unique to each Character, a Player can use Bloodpoints obtained from playing for example as a particular Survivor to upgrade another Survivors' or the Killers' Bloodwebs.

Nodes come in different Rarities that depend on the type of Unlockable they display. Their cost is directly linked to their Rarity.

  • Increased healing an ally without a Med-Kit after the Exits were powered from 500 to 700 (percentage based).
  • Increased healing an ally without a Med-Kit before the Exits were powered from 400 to 500 (percentage based).

  • The Protection Score Event can now be triggered every 3 seconds (down from every 20 seconds).


Old Ranking System

Prior to the Emblem Update for Survivors and the Victory Cube for the Killers, a Player's Rank used to be determined by how many Bloodpoints in a Category they had earned during a trial.

The Tally Screen would display all four available Categories and represent the Ranking procedure with a circle. One full circle was equivalent to 5,000 Bloodpoints achieved in the associated Category.

Despite that, Players can receive up to 8,000 Bloodpoints in each Category, meaning that the maximum reward for each match is 32,000 Bloodpoints (disregarding any Unlockables affecting the Bloodpoint-gain). The circle represented the maximum Bloodpoints contributed towards a Player's Rank.

As Players' Ranks are not altered by playing the Kill Your Friends mode, they will only visually receive Bloodpoints from playing this mode, which cannot actually be spent and are not added to the Player profile once the game mode is exited.


Trivia

  • Bloodpoints gained from "on-going" actions such as bleeding and repairs will show up after the action "completes".
    • When a bleeding Survivor is healed or hooked, the Killer gets points for causing Template:IconLink.
    • When a Generator Repair is finished or the Survivor leaves the Generator, the Survivor gets points for Repair.
  • Template:IconLink which increase Bloodpoint earnings, if not stated otherwise, only change the in-game value. The cap remains, but is reached more quickly.
  • Template:IconLink which increase Bloodpoint earnings only apply post-trial; they do not change the in-game values.
    • Thus, Offerings make it possible to technically earn more than the cap for a Category.
  • Before the introduction of Template:IconLink in Patch 1.2.0, Template:IconLink in Patch 2.0.0 and the temporary currency of Template:IconLink, Bloodpoints were the only Currency featured in the Game.
