Blighted Cosmetics are a series of Cosmetic Collections released every October as part of Halloween Events in Dead by Daylight.
Overview[]
During every Halloween Event, new Cosmetic Collections are released, which mutate Killers into horrifying, blighted abominations and dress Survivors up in Steampunk Victorian fashion.
Lore[]
Talbot Grimes, after entering The Entity's Realm, discovered Vigo's journal in an abandoned laboratory. Inside the journal was described a mysterious formula. Each year, The Entity underwent a transformation, causing Visceral Cankers and Pustula flowers to form. The nectar of these flowers could be turned into a strange and empowering serum.
In his research, he fought, trapped and experimented upon various Killers, which in turn mutated them into monstrous aberrations.
Blight Tags[]
Each Blighted Cosmetic has a Blight Serum injection site marked with a Blight tag, created by Talbot Grimes.
Each tag bears an alchemical symbol and a four digit number, the meaning of which is currently unknown. While every Blighted Cosmetic has a tag, tags are not unique to each Blighted Cosmetics.

Trivia[]
- In The Hallowed Blight cinematic, The Trapper's Blight tag is instead Zinc 1823.
- During development, Blight tags would originally bear the first letter of their attached killer, and a number correlating to their original release date. For example, "T-1031" would correspond to "Trapper - October 31st".
- The Ghost Face was the first licensed Killer to receive a Blighted Cosmetic Outfit in 2020, with The Executioner, and The Nemesis becoming the next licensed Killers to receive one in 2021, and The Mastermind receiving one the following year, and in 2023, The Onryō and Xenomorph both received blighted skins.
- The Blight is the only Killer to have a Blighted Cosmetic without a Blight tag, instead it exists as the Ultra Rare Add-on Iridescent Blight Tag.
