This description is based on the changes featured in the upcoming Patch: 7.7.0
You are fuelled by unexpecting energy when on the verge of escape.Once the Exit GatesIconHelp exitGates are powered, Adrenaline activates:
  • Instantly heal the equivalent of 1 Health StateIconStatusEffects healing.
  • Grants a +50 % HasteIconStatusEffects haste Status Effect for 3 seconds.
Adrenaline ignores an existing ExhaustedIconStatusEffects exhausted Status Effect , but causes it for 60/50/40 seconds.

  • Instantly heal the equivalent of 1 Health State.
  • Grants a +50 % Haste Status Effect for 5 seconds.

Adrenaline is on hold if you are disabled at the moment it triggers and will instead activate upon being freed.

If playing against The Nightmare, Adrenaline will wake you from the Dream World upon activation.

Adrenaline ignores an existing Exhausted Status Effect, but causes it for 60/50/40 seconds.

Change Log

Patch 1.5.0

  • Rework: Adrenaline now causes Exhaustion for 60/50/40 seconds.
  • QoL: ignores the Exhaustion condition.
  • QoL: Adrenaline is now on hold if you are disable at the moment it should take effect and will activate when freed.

Patch 1.8.1

  • Buff: Adrenaline now heals one Health State no matter the state the Survivor is in and grants a sprint burst of 5 seconds across all Tiers.
  • QoL: Adrenaline now wakes up sleeping Survivors.

Patch 7.7.0

  • Nerf: is no longer put on hold and activated retroactively, if its user was disabled at the moment of the Gates being powered.
  • Nerf: no longer wakes asleep Survivors.
    • This change brings Adrenaline with the general shift away from effects that target specific Killer Powers.
  • Nerf: reduced the Haste duration from 5 seconds to 3 seconds.


Trivia

  • On the original Developer Website, Adrenaline featured a different flavour text: "I've never missed a race, I always reach the finish line!"
  • Adrenaline will heal Survivors to the following Health States upon triggering:
    • Injured Survivors become healthy.
    • Dying Survivors or those suffering from the Deep WoundIconStatusEffects deepWound Status Effect become injured.
    • Survivors suffering from the BrokenIconStatusEffects broken Status Effect are not healed, but still receive the Haste Status Effect.
  • Before Patch 7.7.0, Adrenaline would be put on hold if a Survivor was disabled at the moment of the Gates receiving power and apply its effects retroactively.
    • If a Survivor was being carried, Adrenaline would trigger right after the Killer dropped them, they wiggled free, or they were rescued with a stun.
      • If the Killer, however, managed to hook a Survivor, the Perk would become disabled.
    • If a Survivor was hooked, Adrenaline would trigger right after they would be unhooked.
