About the descriptions used on the Dead by Daylight Wiki
Differences to in-game descriptions: It is this Wiki's philosophy that information provided to the knowledge-seeking Players of Dead by Daylight should be as easily understandable as possible. The Wiki Guardians therefore take the liberty to rephrase and/or reword descriptions in cases of the actual effect differing from the description (e.g. time vs speed) or in cases of the original phrasing being sub-optimal, making it potentially difficult to understand without additional explanation. Mouse-over Support: On desktop browsers, the Wiki supports mouse-over functionality for the modifier words used in the description of most Unlockables (slightly / moderately / considerably / tremendously). On mobile browsers, the values are displayed in small text after the modifier words. Desktop users experiencing issues with the mouse-over may temporarily switch to mobile view at the bottom of an Article page. |

Overview
- This Article presents an overview of all Add-ons featured in the Game. For more detailed information, such as the numbers behind the adjectives, please refer to an Add-on's respective Article.
Add-ons boost specific aspect of a Killer's Power and a Survivor's Item when equipped.
Players can equip up to two Add-ons at the same time, however, it is not possible to equip the same Add-on twice.
Add-ons are single-use only and generally lost after a Trial.
- This can only be prevented through the following means:
- Burning the Black Ward
Offering as Killer.
- Burning the White Ward
Offering as Survivor.
- Equipping Ace in the Hole
as Survivor.
- Burning the Black Ward
Stacking
Add-ons which affect the same part of a Power will generally stack with one another (both positive and negative effects).
Positive modifiers are always applied additively, whereas negative modifiers are always applied multiplicatively.
Older Add-ons used to mention if they would stack or not. Newer Add-ons of more recent Killers do not mention this anymore unless they specifically do not stack.
Add-on Order
Unlike a popular myth amongst the Community, the order in which Add-ons affecting the same part of a Power or Item are put into the two slots does not matter in terms of how strong the resulting effect is going to be, due to how the game handles those modifiers.
Numbers
There are currently several hundred Add-ons featured in Dead by Daylight :
103 | Common Add-ons |
138 | Uncommon Add-ons |
121 | Rare Add-ons |
94 | Very Rare Add-ons |
